CLEVELANDURBANNEWS.COM, CLEVELAND, Ohio-The Cleveland African American Museum, led by executive director Frances Caldwell, will host a fundraising forum on the extermination of the Black community on May 18, 2018 at 7 pm, an event that will address, among other issues, education, the Black family, and economics, and with popular orator Dr. Umar Johnson as the keynote speaker.

Doors open at 5pm and tickets for the event, which will be held at the museum at 1705 Crawford road on Cleveland's largely Black east side, are $22 at eventbee.com and $25 at the door. (Editor's note: When buying tickets at eventbee.com put in the name Dr. Ulmar Johnson).

Johnson is a nationally known motivational speaker and a native of Philadelphia who speaks on special education, the Black family and uplifting the Black community.

This year he completed a four-city “Kwanzaa tour” of Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, and Detroit.

Johnson holds a doctorate in clinical psychology from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and has worked as a school psychologist for the Philadelphia schools, Chester Upland School District, and various charter schools

Also speaking is Dr George C. Fraser, founder and CEO of FraserNet Inc. and a Cleveland based author, entrepreneur and speaker focusing on improving networking skills, building wealth and improving diversity and inclusion.

"Dr Ulmar is a dynamic orator and he is speaking free of charge as we continue to raise money for the African American museum of Cleveland," said Caldwell. "We also appreciate that Dr. Fraser will also be joining us and speaking and he too is an exceptional speaker, particularly on issues impacting the Black community."

The theme of the event is "Black America's Last Chance To Save Ourselves."

The Cleveland African American Museum (formerly the Afro-American Cultural & Historical Society Museum) is located in the inner city of Cleveland, Ohio on the city's largely Black east side. It was founded in 1953 by Icabod Flewellen and is is housed in a more than 100-year-old Carnegie Library building.

The museum works to educate young people and others about the positive contributions of Blacks to the cultures of the world, and to eliminate the distorted portrayals and images of Black people.
