The open-to-the-public Bernie Sanders' May 1, 2017 Cleveland event is sponsored by the City Club of Cleveland and is sold out. Tickets were $35 with all proceeds going to the City Club.
A City Club spokesman told Cleveland Urban News.Com, Ohio's most read digital Black newspaper, that Sanders is speaking free of charge and will address various issues, from healthcare to immigration, to racial injustice and education.
"Senator Sanders will be speaking at 9 am and doors open at 8 am," said Cory Isler, the membership and customer experience manager for the City Club.
"The City Club loves speakers from all parties and all perspectives with the goal of continuing civil and civic dialogue," said Isler.
